So without further ado, we're going to review the Rolex Datejust 41 reference 126303 with a domed bezel, black dial and Oyster bracelet. I'm gonna talk to you guys about the case, the bezel, the dial, the bracelet, the movement, try it on, and give you my thoughts. So let's dive right in. It has an oyster case. Oyster, that means it has this sort of smooth edged and it has a tapered finish right here. You see my fingers running down right here. It's Oystersteel and yellow gold. What part is yellow gold? It's actually the bezel. So I'm not sure why they call the case Oystersteel and yellow gold, because it's actually the case is right here, and that steel and the bezel is separate. But I guess the rest of the watch is gold, so they call it rolesium actually, or sorry, Rolesor, which is actually just a combination of steel and yellow gold. Now the case itself, this being this thing right here is a monobloc middle case, screw-down case back and winding crown and it's 41 millimeters. It's the largest Datejust that Rolex makes, from my thumb to my index finger. And actually you really don't want it larger than this. It starts to look funny, at least for an average man's wrist, okay? Now let's talk about the bezel. What is kinda interesting about this bezel is that, does it look smooth, does it look domed? Well in fact, it's what Rolex calls smooth. Now domed, as the name implies, it would move like this. But smooth is just straight up and down. Like, with no degree angle to it. But it's, you know, smooth as opposed to fluted. Now, why would you want a smooth, as opposed to a fluted? Well fluted really sparkles and not every guy wants their watch to sparkle. Some guys do, some guys don't. Which is why there's an option to choose a smooth bezel. And if you like to not have your watch look so flashy, then you can simply choose this watch, which is a 126303 and it's available at JazTime.com. Now the crystal is a scratch-resistant crystal, has a Cyclops over the date, and has a waterproofness of a hundred meters. Probably a hundred meters more than most of us will ever dive with this watch, but it's at least nice to know that it would go there. All right, now let's talk about the movement. The movement is a perpetual, mechanical, self-winding movement, calibre 3235, which is an upgrade from the previous version that used to be in all Datejusts for last 30 years, which is a 3135, which had been in production for almost 30 years. The 3235, if you look at it, you can't actually see it, which is why I was trying to show you. Rolex actually makes these gorgeous movements. Why they put a case back that you can't see the back, it's kinda beyond me. I would think that you would make, spend so much time on the movement you would want people to see it, but I guess they don't. So they have a precision of plus minus two seconds a day. It has a Paramagnetic blue Parachrom hairspring and a power reserve of 70 hours. Basically all you need to know is the movement is really good and it's gonna last forever. Now the bracelet is an Oyster flat three-piece link. That means it has three pieces across. Now, they also make this in Jubilee which has five-piece across, but the Oyster is sorta known as a more sporty bracelet. So if you wanna combine the elegance and dressiness of a Datejust, with that of a sporty band such as this one Oyster bracelet, then this would be a logical choice. The bracelet, as Rolex writes, it is a Yellow Rolesor combination of Oystersteel and 18 carat yellow gold, which basically in layman terms means it's stainless steel and yellow gold. It has a brush finish on the side right here, and a polished finish down the center. Which makes sense 'cause obviously the gold should be polished. Now it has a folding Oyster clasp, which I'm going to show you here. And here's how you simply fold it. Fold it shut, and that's it. And it has a Easylink 5 mm comfort extension that I'm about to show you right now. And again, guys, we take some effort and planning to do these videos along with editing and we actually are doing this for the purpose of selling you, the customer, this watch. That's how you use a comfort extension. Now I wanna give you my thoughts, as I told you I would at the beginning of this video. Now my thoughts are that, first of all, I really like Datejust. I'm glad that Rolex made it in a larger size. For a long time, they made it in only 36 millimeter, which I think is rather small. I'm an average man, with above average intelligence obviously, but this watch is 41 and when they made it in 36, it just didn't make that much sense. It looked too small, it looked too puny. And I think even Rolex realized that, obviously which is why they made the 41 millimeter. And I think it really looks great on the wrist. Now some people complain that, "Oh, it doesn't have this fluted bezel." Well yeah, duh. That's why it's called the smooth bezel and not everybody wants their watch to look so showy. So if you ask my opinion, I mean, does it look good on my wrist? Sure! I think it looks pretty good. Now, if you want an understated watch, which some people do, not everybody wants a bling-bling-bling watch. Then this would really be it.
