Welcome to Jaztime. Jaztime.com is an online store that buys, sells, trades authentic luxury watches. If you would like to know the price simply click on the link in the description below. If you enjoy our videos, we'd greatly appreciate it, if you would buy a watch at jaztime.com. Today I'm going to be reviewing the Rolex Datejust 36 reference 126233 White Mother Pearl with diamond dial and Jubilee bracelet. I'm gonna talk to you guys about the case, the bezel, the dial, the bracelet, and then try it on and give you my thoughts. So let's dive right in. Okay. As I said, at the very beginning of this video, this watch is a Datejust 36. Now you might, uh, surmise that the case diameter 36 stands for how large the watch is. From my thumb to my index finger is 36 millimeters. Now Rolex makes these Datejusts in 28, 31, 36 or 41. 36 which is what I have here, can be either worn by a woman who likes to wear larger watches, or a man who likes to wear smaller watches, or has a smaller wrist. I've seen it go both ways. Don't let anybody tell you, you know, which way to go. You decide for yourself, it's your watch. And this is also why we have this review. So you could decide which watch you like, watching YouTube at home and then buy it, of course at jaztime.com, which is why we make these videos. So don't buy it from someone else, buy it from us. So that's the case, it's a stainless steel. Now Rolex calls this a material, the Yellow Rolesor. Sounds fancy, what is it? It's a stainless steel case with yellow gold, here on the bezel, as well as yellow gold on the bracelet. In fact, it's even yellow gold on the hour gold settings at the hour markers. Okay. Now Rolesor is their word for, they've had to make up their own name, is combination of steel and 18 carat yellow gold. All right. So that's the case. I've talked to you about that. Let's talk about the bezel. Now, the bezel comes in two configurations. They make these bezels in Domed Bezel, which is a smooth bezel, or they make it with a iconic Fluted Bezel, which is what you're looking at. And what is that, I'm trying to show you here. It has these knife edge or serrated edge, or it's kind of like, you know, these, this edge makes it so that the watch looks very reflective. Light reflects off this fluted bezel and the actually the fluted bezel is iconic. It used to have a functional purpose of keeping the watch water tight, but now it just has a aesthetic purpose. In fact, it's the most iconic part of Rolex, aside from maybe its crown right there. Okay. So that's the bezel. Now let's talk about the dial. Now you might be looking at his dial and wondering what color is it? Well, Rolex calls it White Mother of Pearl. Now you might be also wondering what is a White Mother Pearl? Well, you know what a pearl is right? Well, pearl is found in nature, is full of mystery and surprises, and depending on its origin it can be in pink, white, black, or yellow or combination of all of those. It has different color, intensity and structure depending on which way you look at it. Yes, that means you can have a watch with a bunch of different dials, dial colors. And so I'm trying to show that to you here the video doesn't do it justice. If you were actually to buy this watch and look at it in person you'll notice that this dial is absolutely amazing and no two mother of pearls are exactly the same although they are similar, but keep in mind, these are come from nature. So think about that, you'd actually be wearing a watch that has a oyster, of which at one point, belonged in the sea. Wouldn't that be kind of cool? I think it's very cool, which is why, by the way Rolex charges a lot of money for this White Mother Pearl dial. In this configuration that you're looking at, it's one of the most expensive configurations out there. But you can buy it at jaztime.com for the lowest price anywhere online. Okay. Now let's move on to the movement. The movement, you cannot see it back here, but it's a 3235, it's precise to +/- two seconds a day, has a power reserve of 70 hours. It differs in that from the older version in that it's more precise and it has a longer power reserve. I guess I forgot to mention, they also made an older version of this Datejust 36, it's reference 116233, but that older version did not have the newer movement, and the case was a little bit fatter. They slimmed down the case and for good reason, in my opinion, and probably the opinion of Rolex, the king of all watches, decided that slimming down the case made the watch look more streamlined and they are right, well they're Rolex and it's their product, so they've decided that. Now let's move onto the bracelet. Now, this has been a little bit of part of the controversy. Some people have said, well, they don't really like the bracelet. I said, well, what's there not to like? Now it's a Jubilee bracelet, five piece link. There's, means that there's five pieces going, if you count three gold ones and two steel ones on the side, that's a Jubilee bracelet. Now that part is iconic. Everybody knows this. Everybody who sees that can can tell. Now, what they changed in this new Datejust 36 is they put on a oyster buckle. Now, what is that, I'm going to show you as I have another watch here, they've taken the buckle off of this one on the left, and they put it on the one on the right. So they used the oyster buckle, even though it's a Jubilee on the right. They use a same buckle in the oyster bracelet as they do in the Jubilee bracelet. So you can see that. That make sense? Okay. So you can see those side by side. Now, why you might be asking, well, why would I care? Well, I'll tell you why you care. Because, if you have the oyster bracelet what benefit is it? You have a five millimeter comfort extension, which means you can extend the watch by five millimeters when your hand gets hot or cold which is a great idea, because sometimes your hand does get, expand or contract, and it would be nice if your watch could do that with you, which is why they thought of this ingenious idea to put this here. Now, some people like the concealed clasp that it used to come with, that's fine, if you like that, go to jaztime.com and buy it. If you don't, and you want to buy this one, then go to jaztime.com and buy it as well. Now I can give you my opinion, not that it matters but I've only sold thousands of thousands of Rolex's, so I guess my opinion means something. This to me is the, is a superior bracelet. Why? I'll tell you why. Because it gives the watch a beginning, which is the head, a middle which is the bracelet, and a tail, which is the buckle. And it gives the watch more symmetry. Now, if I hold the watch in this direction or the other direction, top or bottom, it gives the watch some kind of symmetry. Now, before it was all concealed bracelet, which didn't really look very symmetrical to me. And I actually prefer this one. And I think Rolex who is the king of watches, also agrees with that. So anyhow, if you'd like to buy this watch please go to jaztime.com. I told you, I'd give you my thoughts and try it on. So here it is on my wrist. Now they also, my thoughts are basically this. If people are going to 41 millimeter watches, men, that is, and that's fine if you're a larger guy or you have a larger wrist. Now, if you're not a larger guy and you have a smaller wrist or you just don't want to wear a watch that's that clunky, well, I suggest to you to buy a 36, and why? Well, because the more comfortable the watch is, the more likely that you are going to wear it and the longer you're going to wear it for. Having sold thousands of watches, I noticed that people that, why people trade in their watches, well it's because it's not comfortable. That's the number one complaint. Not because it doesn't look good, cause all Rolexes look good, but because it's not comfortable. They don't like the way that it sits on their wrist. They can't wear it for a very long time and it ends up not getting very much wrist time. So the solution to that, is to buy a watch that's comfortable. Now, if you should go try on the 36 at your local Rolex AD and then come back to us Jaztime, J-A-Z-T-I-M-E.com, and buy the watch. My thoughts on this are, it's an excellent watch. If I were to, if I had the money to buy this Datejust 36 and, you know, deck it out with all the bells and whistles, which is white MOP dial, I would definitely get this one. And I think it's a great dress watch for a man. Now, if you're a woman, I also think it's very very good and very practical because it's not all gold, which is going to ding and stretch and you know, cause a lot of attention, it's still super, you know high-end super luxury with all this gold and mother of pearl and diamonds, blah, blah, blah. But it's not so expensive at the moment. I think it's around 15,000 or so. That's as of 2020, so please don't call me in 2025 and tell me you want 2020 prices. I'll tell you to go into your time machine and go back and get it. So if you do like this please go to jaztime.com ladies and gentlemen.
