Hey, guys, this is Kevin from JazTime.com and today we'll be reviewing the Rolex Datejust 41, reference number 126300. We'll be going over the price, the dial, bezel, case, crown, bracelet, clasp, and we'll talk about the movement towards the end of the video. Okay, so as of December 2017 you can get this Rolex Datejust at an authorized Rolex retailer for $7,350 plus tax or you can come to JazTime.com and get it for as low as $7,000. Of course, price is subject to change from the date of this video. All right, so, let's go ahead and talk about the dial. So the dial configuration that these Datejust 41s currently come in for the stainless steel is that we have index hour markers that are luminous by highly legible Chromalight display with long-lasting blue luminescence. The index markers themselves and the hands, the hands also display the luminous tips as well, but they're all fashioned in 18-carat white gold to prevent any tarnishing. It's gonna be the same dial architecture for all the Datejusts, so just the index hour markers, the Rolex crown logo at the 12 o'clock position, Rolex Oyster Perpetual Datejust name right underneath that, and the date window at the three o'clock position with a cyclops lens on top of that sapphire crystal for easier viewing and magnification of that date. Specifically for the dial colors currently released, of course in my hand, as I mentioned, I do have the rhodium, which is this nice, dark gray color, as you can see very beautiful as light catches it in the different portions of the dial, but if you're not interested in the rhodium, then the other styles that this watch comes in is silver, blue, black, and white, okay? Let's go ahead and move on to the bezel now. Bezel, very simple, very simple bezel is more, as this Datejust is a dress watch, we have a nicely high-polish, smooth bezel as you can see, nice and highly reflective and it patterns very nicely with the high-polish case lugs as we move on to the case now. You can see that the lugs of the case are nicely high polished, and that really brings a complementary shine with the bezel itself. As the name suggests, the Datejust 41 is a 41-millimeter watch, so from my index finger to my thumb here, that's 41 millimeters in diameter. Here is the profile of the case, as you can see, not too high, not too thick. It will fit under suit cuffs, dress clothes, very nicely. That also has a nice, high polish on the side of the case, patterning very nicely with the bracelet as well. As I flip that over to the crown side, we have that same patterning as well, nice high polish with the side of the case to the bracelet. We have the Rolex crown logo on the crown itself, and, for the crown, it's just a very simple screw-down to unlock double-waterproofing the system, simply unwinds by going counter-clockwise as shown. In its first position, this is the standard position in which you can wind the watch. From a dead stop takes about 15 to 20 clockwise winds, as shown, to get the watch running once more. A simple tugging of the crown will allow you to adjust the date aperture. As you can see at the three o'clock position, date changes very easily, very instantaneously, and then, with a final tug of the crown, it will stop the seconds' hand. As you see I've accidentally stopped the seconds' hand at the date window. Let's go ahead and move that a little bit more. All right, there we are. Pulling the crown to the final position, we have stopped the seconds' hand and in this final position you can set the hands bi-directionally as shown, okay? Pressing the crown back in will start the seconds' hand once more, and always make sure screw the crown nice and tight against the case, as this will keep this watch water resistance for 100 true meters or 330 feet, okay? Moving on to the bracelet now, the bracelet is the Oyster-style bracelet, which is a three-piece link bracelet, nicely high-polish down the center and on contrasting outer of the three-piece links, we have a nice, brushed-steel satin finish. This whole bracelet is made out of the 904L steel, which is a in-house made Rolex steel, has additional corrosion resistance and a nice shine. As I move the bracelet throughout the watch, you can actually see that they've actually patterned it through the Oysterclasp, as well. You can see that nice high polish and the satin finish on the sides and the other side of the bracelet as well. The clasp, very simple clasp, it's just a folding Oysterclasp, opens up as so to reveal these nicely high-polish clasp blades with the Rolex name embossed on to the clasp plate itself. For Rolex, it usually has a function for the clasp itself. For the Datejust clasp, we have what's called the easy extension link, which is a five-millimeter increment link that you can adjust inwards or outwards, and that's more of a quality of life feature for such things as hot summer days. You can adjust the bracelet itself four to five millimeters or backwards five millimeters for vice versa on colder days. You can see those little pins on the side of the bracelet. You will actually need a tool to be able to adjust that but still a very nice feature to have regardless. Okay, so let's go ahead and talk about the movement now. So the movement is housed in this simple, Oyster-case backing. It is Rolex's perpetual, mechanical, self-winding movement. It's their Calibre 3235 movement, which is based on the the 3135 movement. It has been upgraded, it has a precision of minus two, plus two seconds a day. It has eight functions, that is center, hour, minute, and seconds' hand with instantaneous changing of the date with rapid setting and stopping of the seconds' hand, precise time setting, as I've shown you with the crown functions. The oscillator is a Paramagnetic, blue Parachrom hairspring, which adds additional resistance against magnetism for the watch and, with that upgrade from the 3135 to the 3235, which this watch has, it has a higher power reserve now of approximately 70 hours, meaning you can put this watch down on a Friday evening, pick it back up on a Monday afternoon, and it should be keeping time just fine. All right, so let me actually go ahead and show you this watch on my wrist now, so, once again, locate the folding Oyster, pop that open, all right, so underneath the wrist this is how the watch looks underneath the wrist with the high-polish clasp links in the middle. All right, and here is the watch face itself. As you can see, as once again mentioning the beautiful tracking of the light on that rhodium dial, absolutely gorgeous.
